Dance is my passion. Having worked in dance schools and clubs for several years, I have come to realise that the traditional approach to teaching dance needs to be adapted to suit a broader range of children and adults. I have worked and volunteered in support roles with children and adults with additional needs in different settings alongside my dance teaching experience which stretches across dance schools and clubs, primary schools and private events.

I feel strongly about recreating the outdated norms of a childrens dance class. I take inspiration from all formalized dance disciplines and cultural dances from across the globe. Movement should be free and creative- not graded and strict. I have studied and practice the language programme Makaton, which enables many people with communication difficulties to interact and talk using hand signs and symbols. I understand the importance of using Makaton within educational settings, making it a key element of our classes at Sensory Movement Space.
